All About Addie....

Sorry for the lack of posts...been soooo busy with school and everything else. It seems this past week or two has been focused on the funny little personality of our daughter Addison. Since starting pre-school last week she has already grown in so many ways. Her personality has exploded and we laugh with her multiple times a day. Here she is looking exactly like her father when he was a child (same hair even, ha ha!)

The big thing this week is that she got her very first "official" haircut. I've been really trying to just let her hair grow but she has such sad, thin hair that it isnt doing anything but getting tangled. And, as a result I just pull it up in a pony tail most of the time. So, we were at the salon that cuts the boys' hair getting their haircut and Addie wanted to get her's done too....she insisted very loudly I might add. So, up in the chair she went. Ever since she got it cut she is ready to pose at a seconds notice. Here she is at the shoe store later striking a pose on the window. The store clerks got a big kick out of her silliness.

Of course she could not wait to show her Daddy.... lately thats all she wants to do is impress her Dad. She puts lipstick on for him and shows him her new clothes. She loves the attention. I hope thats not a bad sign of things to come, ha ha.

She also got new bedding for her bed this week. We are hoping it will encourage her to finally sleep there all night long! She was so excited to put it on her bed.

Later that evening I spied on her and found her propped up in the bed, reading a magazine. Wonder where she got that from?

She is such a little copy cat. She watches every move I make apparently. Whenever we get ready to go anywhere she has to put her lipstick on (her lips and her cheeks), get her purse which she places her cell phone and lipstick in (cant leave home without them!) then on goes the sunglasses and her jacket. The other day I caught her rubbing lotion on her feet....if she gets cursed with my feet then I guess its a good habit to get in to cause she'll have to do it for life! Anyway, she just cracks us up....constantly.

Here are some other pics of her striking a pose in her new outfit.

We bought her a couple of new dresses for church with shoes since she is growing like a weed. You should have seen the show this morning.....

I think modeling would be right up her alley, too bad mom wont have it!
And finally, her other talent is singing and dancing. Look below to hear her singing her abc's while playing the piano. She is multi-talented and we love her so much!

In other news, Denver and I went to the opera last week to see Carmen.

I loved it. I thought it was much better than Macbeth. The picture above is the gorgeous chandelier in the Capitol Theater.... I love that building.

Yesterday evening we went to the Jazz game because Denver had won some tickets for work. I really enjoy watching live basketball. Im not much of a sports nut or anything close but these games are always fun to watch. Although last nights game was really boring thanks to the Jazz killing them the whole game through..... Go Jazz!

Thats about it on our front....nothing too exciting. Still waiting for an apartment to open up in student housing and for Winter to be over, ugh! Will update more when there is something to tell.
